Anyone have the dimensions for a Burnside breech block chamber?

Just a photo, no dimensions in the tables for this one

Seems to me you could derive the dimensions from a new case: http://www.lodgewood.com/Burnside-Br...Case_p_14.html

Exactly what I thought. Cases are already on their way.
Sometimes the easiest is not the most obvious.

This probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. Reverse engineering a case has one possible pitfall. Most commercial designs have tolerances so that every case does not have to be perfect and so the tooling does not have to be constantly replaced/sharpened/adjusted. You have no idea whether the case(s) that you are going to measure are on the high side or the low side of the design specified tolerance.

The best that you can do (if reverse engineering) is to buy cases from different sources and measure them all. That gives you a possible largest and smallest for all dimensions. I'm tired, so can't quite see how to translate that to the dimensions needed to cut a chamber.

At the end of the project, there is a profound difference between spare parts and extra parts.

and to the tolerances involved, the chamber dims are different that cartridge dims.
just measuring a new case won't get you to chamber dimension by itself
