I just hate it when someone does such a nice job on a tool like that. It looks like it's commercially made.

At the end of the project, there is a profound difference between spare parts and left over parts.

    Location: SF East Bay.

      Looks real nice. Good job.
      It's only ink and paper

Nice, really good work. Can you elaborate on the process of making it?

Not much for the process, measured a standard USGI barrel nut to get the pin diameter and what size dowel to use, 1.375" diameter(if I remember right off the top of my head) and 3/16" dowel pins. Punched the numbers into the DRO to get the hole pattern and drilled away. Press fit for the dowels and Loctite for good measure and then mill the 1/2" square for a torque wrench to fit.

I should have put some cold blue on it before I pressed the pins in but I was in a hurry to get the barrel off, even though the barrel still sits on the bench waiting to get cut down.
