  • Indiana model engine and hobby show

Well with the fall of N.AM.E.S. we felt it was time fo grow our show, so I am here to announce our model engine & hobby show. Technically this our 26th annual, but our first time holding the show separate from the tractor show, but that's another story.
October 14th (that's a Saturday) just east & south of Ft. Wayne (approximately 7 mins from food & lodging) , in wonderful Monroeville Indiana.
We have a large pavilion at the city park, located at 421 Monroe St, Monroeville Indiana 46773
THIS IS A FREE SHOW, FREE TO EXHIBIT, FREE TO ATTEND, FREE FOR VENDORS (a free will donation will be accepted)
Bring your engines, your projects, show off your hobby engines/trains/machinist/ RC/ just about anything goes!
Food & beverage on sight.......this is a city park, playground &parking right at the pavilion
plan to attend....this will be fun

Please keep us updated as the date draws closer (I'm interested in how many vendors are expected - my main reason for visiting NAMES - unfortunately not a 45 min drive).

As of right now, Debolt Machine will be there. The model engine collectors association will be holding a swap meet. There should be a nice selection of things to purchase from our vendors.

I'm hoping to be able to attend again this year, but a scheduling conflict has me unsure just yet whether I can pull it off. Will try!

This show has great potential to grow – they have the space and have the desire. It's kind of a Catch-22 problem with small shows, though. They need vendors to bring in the people, but they need people to bring in the vendors. If you like shows, give it a try. Also, be sure mention it to any potential vendors you may deal with. With such support and a little time, it will grow.

I'm interested in attending (from Tennessee). I'll bring a couple of model steam engines and accessories. Will there be any electricity available? Could I fire up the engines?

Yes on electricity (bring an extension cord) we have a large outdoors area (easy to get in and out) plus a tent we can run internal combustion engines

Send me a pm or email with a phone number if you need more information

Next years show will be 2 days in a 8000 to 10,000 square foot venue!
