Using a mag press on thin stuff a thicker piece of steel under the magnet helps with the holding power if you can use it depending on the application...

You can also take an old sponge and cut a piece to fit inside the cutter and soak it in cutting fluid. As you cut deeper it squeezes out more juice....

Did you check E replacement parts? They show replacement chuck screws for M-18 hammerdrills around 3 bucks. What’s the model number on your drill?
